JAMES A. CALLANDER

James A. Callander is Purchasing Manager for L.K. Comstock, an electrical contractor, designing and installing electrical systems primarily for the railroad and rail transit industries. Mr. Callander has almost 30 years of account management, sales and purchasing experience. As someone who has experienced sales from both the sales and purchasing point of view, Mr. Callander is uniquely qualified to provide insight into the sales practices that ensure optimal performance. His sales experience includes direct sales for GE Supply, as well as indirect sales for Panduit Corporation. His purchasing experience ranges from on-site project purchasing to the corporate level. Raised and educated in Ohio, he now lives with his wife and two sons in Atlanta, Georgia.

MICHAEL A. FINA

Michael A. Fina, Vice President of Michael C. Fina, is an innovator of employee recognition programs with a strong background in technology and systems development. Michael has established a reputation for helping to build upon a successful family operation and recognition organization that is dynamic, visionary and forward-minded. Michael’s business philosophy is based upon three fundamental precepts: a meaningful and effective presentation to the recipient is essential to a successful recognition program, the recognition process must meet the culture and mission of the organization, and companies must recognize their employees with gifts that they will truly want and appreciate. In addition, Michael believes in designing all recognition programs and systems with the goal of providing his customers with world-class customer care and ease of administration.
Michael has spent most of his life working in all aspects of the family business, from warehouse operations and customer service, to merchandising and quality control. Since becoming Vice President in 1999, Michael is noted for designing and implementing the companys web-based recognition systems, as well as launching industry leading recognition programs for numerous Fortune 100 companies. Michael is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, National Association for Employee Recognition, WorldatWork, and is affiliated with the Gemological Institute of America, the Better Business Bureau, the Grand Central Partnership, and the Long Island City Business Development Committee. Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hofstra University.

MICHAEL HAND

Michael Hand is the Director of Consumer Promotions, Hispanic and Sports Marketing at The Hershey Company based in Hershey, Pennsylvania. During his fifteen years in the marketing arena, he has worked at some of the world’s largest consumer marketing companies in a variety of functions. His career path has led him from the world of product introductions at BMW of North America to licensing and promotions at M&M/Mars, onto media operations and advertising development at General Motors before spearheading retail strategy and brand activation at the Miller Brewing Company.
Hand has been recognized by the In-Store Marketing Institute as a “Person to Watch” for his role in retail brand building and he has been a featured speaker on connecting with the US Hispanic population for the American Marketing Association and Sports Sponsorship Symposium. Michael is a former student-athlete at Colgate University and has served on the Board of Directors for the American Liver Foundation in Wisconsin. He currently resides in central Pennsylvania with his wife and three children.

JASON I. MILETSKY

Jason I. Miletsky is CEO, and Executive Creative Director at PFS Marketwyse, a leading New Jersey agency specializing in helping mid- to large-sized companies bridge the gap between traditional and internet marketing. An industry veteran, Jason heads up a creative team of marketing professionals focused on developing brands and generating awareness through traditional, online and integrated efforts. His marketing work has included successful consultation and campaigns for companies including Hershey’s, AmerisourceBergen, Emerson Electric, JVC, and The Michael C. Fina Company.
Jason has authored eight books, including “Perspectives on Marketing” and “Perspectives on Branding,” as well as his new college textbook, “Principles of Internet Marketing.” Jason speaks publicly at seminars, companies and universities on topics including marketing, brand building and various Internet-related topics. He has been a featured speaker for the Institute of International Research (IIR), National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Strategic Research Institute (SRI), New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Pratt and others.
Along with authoring two of the initial books in the series, Jason is the creator and series editor of the Perspectives series. Future plans include adding new business and marketing related titles, expansion into other categories such as lifestyles, music, religion and sports, and a national Perspectives seminar series.
Jason is a graduate of Brandeis University (1994), and currently lives in Nutley, NJ.

MARVIN N. MILETSKY

A sales veteran and manager with over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry, Marvin N. Miletsky has been responsible for landing and negotiating millions of dollars worth of new and continued contracts. His visionary approach to new business development has helped Miletsky amass an expansive client network built from some of the largest and most influential decision-makers in his industry.
A nationally recognized expert, Miletsky has been a featured speaker at both conferences and universities on topics including techniques for increasing sales and maintaining profitable relationships. In the 1990’s, he was a two term president of one of the industry’s oldest and most respected regional trade associations, spearheading the development of a buyer/seller networking system that continues to flourish. Miletsky is an active member of the advisory counsel for New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a mentor for graduating students seeking to establish themselves in a variety of sales roles. In Perspectives on Increasing Sales, Miletsky shares his time tested new business techniques with both seasoned and emerging sales professionals. He is also the author of some of the industry’s most creative expense reports, but regrettably leaves this information out of the book.

GENEVIEVE SMITH

Genevieve Smith was the Chief Marketing Officer at Washington Mutual. Her broad responsibilities included brand management, advertising, customer optimization, eCommerce, line of business and corporate marketing.
As CMO, Smith was the driving force in building the company’s strong consumer-friendly brand and differentiating WaMu as a bank that is fun, friendly and ‘unbank-like.’
Smith previously served as the Executive Vice President of WaMu’s Customer Optimization and eCommerce groups and before that was Executive Vice President of Marketing for WaMu’s Home Loans & Insurance Services group.
Together with her Marketing teams, Smith has earned numerous communications industry awards including the 2003 Cannes International Festival Silver Lion, the AMA Gold Effie, and Clio, and the AdWeek 1st Place Out of Home Award. Advertising Age magazine named her among the Top 50 Marketers of 2006, making Smith the only CMO of a bank to be included in the prestigious list.
Smith has more than 20 years experience in financial services marketing. Before joining WaMu, she held a broad range of senior marketing and sales management positions with American Savings Bank, which WaMu acquired in 1996. She also served as vice president and director of Empire Savings and Loan and as a partner at Northern Financial Services. Smith has also served on the Fannie Mae Advisory Board, a private company that works to make it possible for low- and middle-income families to buy homes of their own.
Smith received her bachelor’s degree in business administration and anthropology from Antioch University and also studied dance and anthropology at Universidád de las Américas in México.
